Cleaning the Dodger and Bimini

Simplicity

We invest a lot of money for a good Dodger and Bimini.  It is very important to clean and waterproof each on a regular basis.  This will prolong the life and you will be happier with how they look.

1. Remove Dodger and Bimini pieces from the boat
2. Hang (if possible)
3. Rinse
4. Use 1/2 Cup of Ivory or Woolite, and 1/2 Cup of Clorox
5. Use a soft bristle brush and scrub both sides of the canvas
6. Let it dry thoroughly
7. Spray with 303 organic Waterproof, or 3M Scotchguard
8. Let it dry thoroughly
9. Let the waterproof cure for 12 to 24 hours (i.e. do not put back on the boat yet)
10.  After the waterproof cures then put your Dodger and Bimini back up on your boat

Consider doing this 3 - 4 times a year if you are in harsh conditions with loads of sun and rain.

Note:  Very important to take special care of your Strataglass/or Eisenglass.  Rinse and wash with IMAR cleaner.  We love the 3 step process with Imar which includes a polish, cleaner and protectant. Always rinse first (dissolve the salt) and use soft rags to not scratch your glass. *Do not ever use ammonia or bleach on your glass.
