Life Aboard - 5 years and counting

Hugh and I have spent 5.5 years on Simplicity living, traveling, working, playing, loving and having a constant discovery.

What is life aboard like?

Relaxing, private, less stress most of the time, quiet, simple, comfortable, satisfying, sense of freedom, conscious appreciation for nature and the elements. An awareness of your surroundings (situational awareness), you see and hear things differently. You become self reliant. You learn to do activities/chores that many have never done before. You are always learning something new, and applying it in your day to day life. You learn about yourself and your spouse, or partner, or crew. How to navigate circumstances, and relationships in close proximity. Here your senses are heightened and you must be ready to respond appropriately versus having a reaction. Problem solving on steroids. It can test you in ways unlike any other life experience. It is gratifying!

What its not? Predictable, boring, its not for the faint of heart, a lark, a game, irresponsible, not connected, its not just fun and games. Its not perfect.

Who is this lifestyle for? Those who have a desire to live in the outdoors, be present in the moment, flexible, independent, and capable of dealing with the unknown. Those who are feed up with the establishment, structure, confinement, of life in a box. Those who are done with schedules, fast pace of life, the constant push for competition with the “Jones’s”, the bigger, better, faster.

Is this really possible? Yes, the answer is simply yes.

Do you need help? You alone have to make that decision. However, if you have the desire and commitment, Deb Marlor “your sailing life coach”, can support you in discovering how this dream can be your reality. Schedule a meeting with Deb: Simplicity Life & Leadership Coaching
